IN the US, unemployed are not counted if they have not been working for 49 months. If the entire population was out of work for 49 months, unemployment statics would show ZERO unemployment!
CPI, or the Consumer Price Index, which sets many fixed income social security payments and other critical measurements DOES NOT include accounting for Food and Energy in their numbers! It’s all a scam…”non systemic…???”
Why are food and energy costs excluded from the CPI?The core CPI index excludes goods with high price volatility, such as food and energy. This measure of core inflation systematically excludes food and energy prices because, historically, they have been highly volatile and non-systemic.
- Government statistics put unemployment in Britain at just 4.5% — a low not seen since the 1970s.
- But the real rate of unemployment is four times that.
- We walk you through the evidence that shows why official unemployment numbers are so misleading.
- Economist Danny Blanchflower and Richard Clegg of the ONS challenged this article. See more on that debate here.
