Although the trend is only just starting catch on in the States, European countries adopted green-roofs years ago as a way to provide insulation, create habits for local wildlife, improve oxygen levels in urban areas and control water runoff.
Of course, green-roofs also look nice – providing a welcome retreat from the often drab urban landscape.
A newer trend that is quickly gaining popularity around the world is rooftop farming. Rather than planting only vegetation, rooftop farmers are cultivating entire gardens complete with multiple fruit and vegetable species in the unused space atop large urban structures.
The largest of these rooftop farms is located in a surprising place – Brooklyn, NY.
Brooklyn Grange is a company founded in 2010 currently operating two large rooftop gardens in Queens and Brooklyn totaling approximately 2.5 acres of farmland.
(though this is starting in Pakistan, it will be very soon required of all int’l and then domestic travelers to show proof of vaccination. No Mandatory Vaccination. No Travel. You can read about how this all goes down in the excellent book, “Shell Game” by Steve Alten)
Synergistic Toxicity – 9 Ways Vaccines Are Reducing Immunity and Inducing Immune Overload In Children
The CDC claims HPV, short for Human Papillomavirus, is a common virus in both women and men, and can cause certain cancers. Therefore, the CDC recommends all children ages 11-12 (including boys) be vaccinated for the “common” virus that affects a tiny fraction of the population.
To promote HPV vaccinations the CDC produced a commercial called “Close the Door to Cancer” which uses creepy subliminal tactics. Over-sinister music and a smoke monster climbing on walls, the CDC lists HPV statistics aimed to scare the public toward the vaccine.
The Hamilton Project, an economic policy initiative of the Brookings Institution, published a memo earlier this month that highlighted the economic costs of crime and incarceration in the United States.
While crime rates have fallen 45 percent since 1990, the memo said that the incarceration rate is now at a “historically unprecedented level,” jumping 222 percent between 1980 and 2012. An African-American man who never graduated from high school has a 70 percent likelihood of being imprisoned by his mid-30s; for similarly educated white men, the rate is about 15 percent. And the United States imprisons at a rate six times greater than most peer nations, including those of the European Union, Japan, Israel, and Mexico.
In a recent article for Waking Times, Julian Wash suggested that the psychopaths running the show might as well be inhuman, discussing the apparent consensus opinion that violence and war is something inherent to the human condition – it is a consensus pushed primarily by those who profit from such aggression, not the population in general. If you consider the fact that the police is the enforcement arm of the State, their increasingly out of control violent behavior towards innocent members of the public can only serve to reinforce the view that this psychopathic tendency trickles down from the top of the hierarchy and permeates throughout the system.
The evidence supporting this position is abundant. Every day, news stories are emerging concerning the latest barbaric act on the part of America’s law enforcement; acts which the perpetrators carry out with apparent immunity from any kind of reprimand, let alone prosecution. Sometimes these actions are relatively mild but nevertheless bring to light the complete lack of compassion from the officers involved – this was certainly the case recently in Cleveland, where police took away a basketball hoop set up by a resident for neighborhood kids who helped her around the yard. The woman, Cheri Fiorilli, was threatened with arrest before the hoop was confiscated, and not given a single chance to move the goal into her own driveway.
Other incidents include far more serious acts of brutal violence and sexual assault, the footage often depicting police officers seeming to enjoy the beatings meted out on innocent members of the public, making no exceptions for age, race or gender. A recent appalling example, one of many, occurred in Baytown, Texas, where police officers responded to a noise disturbance reporting loud music at a family party. Entering via the back door in a SWAT-style raid, as many as 10 officers proceeded to beat, pepper spray and Tazer the guests, including children and the elderly.
Another recent incident in Albuquerque ended in tragedy – police responded to a homeless man “illegally camping” and repeatedly shot him, resulting in the man’s death. The APD is just one of many American police departments with an atrocious track record of using egregious force often resulting in the loss of life, and the Department of Justice were forced to conduct an investigation which only confirmed their habitual use of excessive violence. Growing increasingly angry and frustrated with their behavior, the citizens of Albuquerque took to the streets to protest – they were met with tear gas and more police brutality.
Similarly, residents of Baytown marched on the police department decrying their ongoing harassment of minorities as evidenced by the attack on the family party.
What Geo-engineering looks like from the Daily Sheeple POV
(This is being caused by the massive chemtrail spraying. Spraying has significantly increased over the past year globally, so we would expect to see a large increase in the newly created Moregellons Disease)
DNA transmission capabilities of Agrobacterium have been extensively exploited by biotechnologists as a means for inserting foreign genes into plants. They discovered the gene transfer mechanism between Agrobacterium and plants, and developed methods to alter Agrobacterium into an efficient delivery system for gene engineering in plants. This is done by cloning the desired gene sequence into the transfer DNA (T-DNA) that will be inserted into the host DNA. Under laboratory conditions the T-DNA has also been transferred to human cells, demonstrating the diversity of insertion application. The mechanism through which Agrobacterium inserts materials into the host cell is very similar to mechanisms used by pathogens to insert materials (usually proteins) into human cells.
“Geoengineering’ is a new term, still seeking a definition.
It seems to imply something global, intentional, and unnatural…”
–Thomas Schelling, 1996
I have compiled the following unbelievable collection of educational opportunities in the field of Geo-Engineering, so that the next time someone looks at you like your a nutter when you point to the lines in the sky, you can show them the reality of their own part in playing the fool…
GradSchools.com explains and defines “GeoEngineering” and lists many top universities offering “sustainable” courses in this field, and then amazingly lists dozens and dozens of acredited colleges that offer courses in environmental engineering:
GeoEngineering Graduate Programs
GeoEngineering is also known as environmental engineering; it refers to the process of intervening in the earth’s climate system for the purpose of mitigating climate change. It encompasses two primary practices: carbon dioxide removal andsolar radiation management.
GeoEngineering is a relatively new field. Graduate programs that may involve geoengineering include ocean technology, civil and environmental engineering, geological engineering, aerospace engineering, hydrology and GPS technology. Both campus based and online GeoEngineering graduate schools exist.
GeoEngineering Graduate Programs and Curriculum
Interested students can explore geoengineering in the context of disciplines ranging from environmental engineering to ocean technology. Students pursuing graduate degrees in these areas may take classes ranging from earthquake engineering to dynamics of ocean structures.
The U.C. Berkley campus offers degrees in Geo and Environmental Engineering for the climate as well:
Geoengineering is an interdisciplinary program that offers excellent opportunities for students with background in Engineering and Earth Sciences who are interested in all aspects of soil and rock mass characterization, development of advanced simulation techniques, performance of earth structures and underground space, and identification and mitigation of natural hazards.
The total failure of the climate engineers is now impossible to hide as the cryosphere begins to implode with blinding speed. The global power elite’s all out geoengineering assault on planet Earth has made an already dire situation much much worse. Though the weather makers have engineered toxic cool downs in some regions, it has come at an unimaginable cost. By completely derailing the biosphere’s life support systems and compensating responses, the criminal cabal behind the climate engineering have painted us all into a very dark corner. The completely controlled main stream media has done everything imaginable to spin, hide, and otherwise lie about critical unfolding realities around the globe. Just last week mainstream media resurrected the “Monica Lewinsky” story to entertain the masses, how absurd can it get? The magnitude and immediacy of the challenges we face can not be overstated, it is imperative that all unite in a common cause. All available data indicates the single greatest and most immediate assault against all life is the cataclysmic global spraying/climate manipulation programs. Therefor, it stands to reason that stopping these programs should be our priority. Get educated, arm yourself with credible data, and get in the fight to expose and stop global climate engineering.
As the price of meat continues to skyrocket, will it soon be considered a “luxury item” for most American families? This week we learned that the price of meat in the United States rose at the fastest pace in more than 10 years last month. Leading the way is the price of shrimp. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the price of shrimp has jumped an astounding 61 percent compared to a year ago. The price of pork is also moving upward aggressively thanks to a disease which has already killed about 10 percent of all of the pigs in the entire country. And the endless drought in the western half of the country has caused the size of the U.S. cattle herd to shrink to a 63 year low and has pushed the price of beef to an all-time high. This is really bad news if you like to eat meat. The truth is that the coming “meat crisis” is already here, and it looks like it is going to get a lot worse in the months ahead.
Between the poisoning of the waters (and fish) in both the Gulf of Mexico and the poisoning of waters (and fish) off of Fukushima, the world has been left with a lot more unsafe protein sources.
One of the most intelligent things you can do right now is take a look at how vegetarian cooking (not excluding meat completely, but using it as a seasoning) can bring a little financial relief to your wallet. You will also find that it may help you lose weight, if that is an issue for you.
At the heart of vegetarian cooking is the combination of rice and beans. There is a very beautiful so-called “black rice” you can get at most health food stores. It cooks up purple, and is a great addition to any meal, including serving it cold in salads.
Grow Local or Grow Hungry? By Jamie Lee.
Most of us who live in the United States have always assumed that our food would be available in abundance at our commercial grocery stores at affordable prices, at least for the past three generations. Most have never spent a thought about what …
WTF???? U.S. Department of Agriculture seeks “the commercial acquisition of submachine guns [in] .40 Cal. S&W.”…coming for us small organic farmers??..
According to the solicitation, the Dept. of Agriculture wants the guns to have an “ambidextrous safety, semiautomatic or 2 round [bursts] trigger group, Tritium night sights front and rear, rails for attachment of flashlight (front under fore group) and scope (top rear), stock collapsible or folding,” and a “30 rd. capacity” magazine.
They also want the submachine guns to have a “sling,” be “lightweight,” and have an “oversized trigger guard for gloved operation.”
The solicitation directs “all responsible and/or interested sources…[to] submit their company name, point of contact, and telephone.” Companies that submit information in a “timely” fashion “shall be considered by the agency for contact to determine
According to the solicitation, “The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Inspector General,” seeks “Body Armor [that] is gender specific, lightweight, [having] trauma plate/pad (hard or soft), [and] concealable carrier.” The order includes “tactical vest, undergarment (white), identification patches, accessories (6 pouches), body armor carry bag, and professional measurements.”
First it was machine guns, now it is body armor. Is the Department of Agriculture fighting Al COW-da? Or are they preparing to invade and destroy the remaining non-GMO farms?
The final version of the bill includes important steps to re-establish local control of education and end involvement with Common Core in the state. HB1490 states that “[each] local school board shall be responsible for the approval and adoption of curriculum used by the school district.” It also would sanction “work groups composed of education professionals to develop and recommend academic performance standards” which would ultimately be used to replace Common Core by the 2016-2017 school year.
It’s probably no surprise that the young people of today aren’t particularly independent. Not only does the “education” system take great pains to mold them
into follow-the-herd, terrified automatons, society in general doesn’t force them to do much for themselves either.
My oldest daughter recently came home for summer vacation and we discussed her first year of college. She told me that her younger sister, age 13, was much more mature and competent than many of the kids in her student apartment building. “I had to show a bunch of them how to do laundry and they didn’t even know how to make a box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese,” she said.
Apparently they were in awe of her ability to cook actual food
that did not originate in a pouch or box, her skills at changing a tire, her knack for making coffee using a French press instead of a coffee maker, and her ease at operating a washing machine and clothes dryer. She says that even though she thought I was being mean at the time I began making her do things for herself, she’s now glad that she possesses those skills. Hers was also the apartment that had everything needed to solve everyday problems
: basic tools, first aid supplies
, OTC medicine, and home remedies.
This got me thinking about how life will be when disaster eventually strikes.
Today I wish to return to your awareness an aspect of the Human condition that readily conforms to labels and titles. Titles come in all flavors, shapes and sizes, so everybody gets to have one. Some seem rather impressive, whereas others are a bit more diminutive indeed. But in most every case, we assume our respective roles and seek to further refine our character. Like an actor on stage, we wear our persona as if it were a type of costume, then parade about as if the show must go on.
So the question becomes just how intrusive are these titles and labels? Do they adequately define who we are or do they merely press into shape what others expect of us? Do we create our label or does it create us? One would hardly expect the pastor of a local church to get tanked-up at the corner watering hole. His label does not permit it— although he may desire it. So there would certainly appear to be a thin line between title and self-image. One must wonder just how deeply rooted these labels really are? If suddenly stripped free of our title and role, would we cease to be who we thought we were?
Essentially every day I see people working their jobs, trying to earn their pay. They all have titles. Society loves to add varying degrees of authority to the seemingly infinite array of titles. You may, for instance, converse with a cashier at a grocery store. You might notice that she’s a “lead” cashier. She’s not as jovial or forthcoming as the cashier from the other day, but she’s admirably efficient and dutiful. You remember the other cashier was not near as proficient, but considerably more effervescent. She was designated as a “trainee.” It said so right on her badge. They both seemed to have adopted their roles accordingly, and maybe in some ways, their roles adopted them.
The Pope and Bartholomew with the same car – a “normal” vehicle because Francis does not use armored cars nor popemobiles – will go to the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, where they will dine with the patriarchs, bishops and the papal entourage.
The Pope is being left wide open, not unlike JFK who did the Dallas Motorcade without the bullet-proof top to the limousine. I hope I am wrong about this, but it would be very easy for the US or Israel to assassinate the Pope, frame Muslims, and kick off a “Holy” war against the Muslims. And Pope Benny the Rat could then come out of retirement.
When Pope Francis sets foot in the Holy Land at the end of the month, he’ll be facing a range of diplomatic dilemmas. Israeli-Palestinian politics are just one of the many sensitive issues Vatican officials are worried about. Other sore points are incidents of anti-Christian vandalism, lingering tensions between the Holy See and the Jewish community, historic disputes with rival Christian denominations.
I am very alarmed that the Israeli media has published a detailed itinerary of the Pope’s visit, stating where he will be and when he will be there. If I were head of the Pope’s security I would be changing the schedule right now. This detailed itinerary is an open invitation for some Muslim (nudge nudge wink wink) to assassinate the Pope, angering the world’s Christians against the world’s Muslims (not to mention allowing Pope Benny to come out of retirement and re-assume the throne.
The Bees Are Back…As Robots? Harvard Project Funds The Engineering Of Robotic Bees Soon To Be In Flight
Greenwald did not have kind words for incoming executive editor Dean Baquet. He said, “By contrast, her successor Dean Baquet does have a really disturbing history of practicing this form of journalism that is incredibly subservient to the American National security state, and if his past record and his past actions and statements are anything to go by, I think it signals that the New York Times is going to continue to descend downward into this sort of journalism that is very neutered and far too close to the very political factions that it’s supposed to exercise oversight over.”
Washington Post: U.S. Government Is “Collecting … a Lot of Content of Phone Calls. They’re Actually Recording Our Voices as well—
Who’s e-mailing whom? Who’s texting whom? Who’s doing Skype calls with whom? They’re collecting a lot of information, a lot of content of phone calls. They’re actually recording the voices— not for all of our calls, but for a lot of U.S. telephone calls.
I told you they were lying when they said it was just the meta-data!
