30 Signs That You’re One of Those “Crazy Preppers”

Here are the top 30 signs, should you ever be the subject of a nationwide manhunt, that you too will be considered a “Crazy Prepper on the Loose“:

  1. Pantries are so mainstream…you have food stashed in strange places in every room of the house.
  2. You have enough toilet paper to get through a year of uncomfortable digestive upsets…occurring with 6 people simultaneously
  3. Speaking of which, you possess at least 3 different ways to use the bathroom, only one of which is an actual bathroom.
  4. Your kids know what OPSEC means…at the age of 4.
  5. You have topographical maps of your area…plural.
  6. When you’re forced to interact with “the others” you feel like you are awkwardly censoring your true opinions
  7. You think nothing of treating an injury or illness yourself because “what if there was no doctor?”
  8. Paintball is no longer just a fun way to spend an afternoon – it’s called “training”.
  9. With every major purchase, you contemplate going for the off-grid version.
  10. You have more manual tools than power tools.
  11. You’ve washed entire loads of laundry by hand for either necessity or practice. (And not just your dainties…we’re talking about jeans and stuff!)
  12. Your kids are not afraid of guns…or fingers pointed like guns…or pastries in the shape of guns…or drawings of guns.
  13. When house hunting you look for multiple heat and water sources.
  14. You store food in buckets…lots of buckets…like, maybe even a whole room full of buckets.
  15. You garden with a determination and time commitment normally reserved for endurance athletes training for an Ironman triathlon.
  16. If you don’t have a water source on your property, you have put in miles of footwork searching for one nearby, and have mapped multiple discreet routes to and from the source, and figured out how to haul the water back to your house on each route.
  17. Your first instinct when hearing about some event on the mainstream news is skepticism. (False flag event, anyone?)
  18. You believe that FEMA camps are real and that you are most likely on “The List”.

Young Farmers in High Demand

(less than 1 % of jobs in this country are farmers.. and this number is going down with the mass drought in CA and replacing of workers with robots.  Food supply is controlled by just 4 global corporations and a very disturbing company has just acquired Safeway and Albertsons Supermarkets ( https://tabublog.com/2014/03/08/cerberus-capital-management-the-big-dog-that-hunts-and-preys/) as CA  goes into a complete shutdown of our Central Valley Farmers due to no water  (Source)

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the average age of a farmer in California is 58. In 2007, the average age was nearly two years younger. At this rate, the average age of farmers will continue to climb and there has been very little growth in other age groups thus far.

In fact, only 360 new farmers in the 25-34 age group were reported in the latest USDA census and there was a net loss of -282 farmers in the Under 25 category. The only group with significantly increased numbers was the 65-74 year old age group. No disrespect to our older famers, but how much longer can we expect these people to produce food?

Certainly not into 2050 when the global population eclipses 9 billion and probably not even in 2030 when the population is expected to exceed 8 billion.

Not to mention the rapid development in countries like China and India which is guaranteed to tax our existing food infrastructure as more people enter the middle class and begin consuming goods like we have been doing for years in this country.

Since I’m not really a numbers person, I’ll make this simple. Right now, older farmers outnumber the new generation of farmers by 6 to 1. Obviously, this is a problem that needs to be addressed – and quickly.

Organic farming is so much harder than just getting stoned and picking tomatoes

…but it helps🙂

Charles Nobel, a retired school administrator turned rancher, produces grass-fed beef in Stone Ridge, N.Y., for direct sale to customers. Credit Phil Mansfield for The New York Times

MARBLETOWN, N.Y. — STANDING at the edge of an overgrown field, Charles Noble, 65, cups his hands around his mouth and yells, “Mooowaaaahhh.” He hopes his bovine impression will motivate 68 cattle to follow him to a nearby creek. His herd is apparently not thirsty, preferring to munch on tall grass.

When Mr. Noble, a retired actuary and school administrator, started Movable Beast Farm with his wife in 2006, he would “get totally freaked out and have a battle of wills with the cows.” Now he reacts with calm and temporarily stops herding to avoid upsetting the animals.

“Stress is the worst thing you can do for them in terms of quality” of meat, said Mr. Noble, a trim, tanned man with a white goatee. He sells grass-fed beef primarily by word of mouth. “In order to make any money in agriculture at this scale, you really need to be direct marketing,” said Mr. Noble, whose company earned a profit for the first time last year.

But money is not his primary motivation. Mr. Noble waited much of his life to realize his cowboy dreams. “When I was younger,” he said, “I never wanted to work inside at a desk,” so, of course, he said, he spent “30 years working inside, at a desk

Who Needs Farm Hands When You Can Have Agricultural Robots

(The jobless recovery continues on as robots replace agricultural with robots, Google rolls out driverless cars and computer manufactures replace workers with robots. What are people for???)

In recent years, as the labor supply has tightened and competition from abroad has increased, growers have sought out machines to reduce labor costs and supplement the nation’s unstable agricultural workforce. The federal government, venture capital companies and commodity boards have stepped up with funding.

“We need to increase our efficiency, but nobody wants to work in the fields,” said Stavros G. Vougioukas, professor of biological and agricultural engineering at the University of California, Davis.

But farmworker advocates say mechanization would lead to workers losing jobs, growers using more pesticides and the food supply becoming less safe.

GM Farmer’s Win is a Loss for all Organic and Non GM Farmers

The future of organic and non GM food in Australia is uncertain after a WA farmer today lost his legal battle with a neighbouring farmer.

Steve Marsh lost organic certification on his Kojonup farm – and most of his livelihood – when his farm was contaminated by GM canola. He sued his neighbour in the WA Supreme Court for his losses, and to protect his farm into the future.

The court in its judgment stated the decision by NASAA (National Association of Sustainable Agriculture Australia) to decertify Steve was erroneous. Given the extent of the contamination of Steve’s farm we fail to see how NASAA could have taken any other decision. Certainly 100% of organic consumers would support the NASAA decision.

Because the court did not recognise the NASAA decertification the court did not recognise the economic loss Steve suffered, and dismissed the case that Steve had brought for negligence and nuisance.

With Farm Robotics, the Cows Decide When It’s Milking Time

Something strange is happening at farms in upstate New York. The cows are milking themselves.

Desperate for reliable labor and buoyed by soaring prices, dairy operations across the state are charging into a brave new world of udder care: robotic milkers, which feed and milk cow after cow without the help of a single farmhand.

Scores of the machines have popped up across New York’s dairy belt and in other states in recent years, changing age-old patterns of daily farm life and reinvigorating the allure of agriculture for a younger, tech-savvy — and manure-averse — generation.

Cannabis Oil Cures 8 Month Old Infant of Cancer, Dissolving Large Inoperable Tumor In 8 Months

According to Dr. William Courtney, the western medical mind has a very hard if not impossible time trying to understand the diverse actions of Cannabidiol. He explains how his youngest patient who is 8 months old, had a very massive centrally located inoperable brain tumor. The child’s father pushed for non-traditional treatment utilizing cannabis and put cannabinoid oil on the baby’s pacifier twice per day, gradually increasing the dose. Within two months there was a dramatic reduction. Dr. Courtney pointed out that the success of the cannabis approach means that “this child…is not going to have the long-term side effects that would come from a very high dose of chemotherapy or radiation.

While 10,000 year old cultural practices involve drying then heating cannabis to effect a nearly complete decarboxylation of THC-Acid into THC. The creation of massive amounts of THC is compounded by the introduction of a psychoactive side effect that has a 10 mg dose limitation secondary to CB1 receptor stimulation. Research conducted in Bethesda Maryland led to Patent 6,630,507 held by the United States of America since 2003 that teaches that the lack of psycho-activity in CBD allows doses that are 100-200 times greater than the tolerable dose of THC. The articulated “Effective oral human dosage schedule is 20 mg / kg body weight” requires a considerable amount of cannabis. The simplest approach is to consume the trichrome laden fully mature flower along with the 80-day leaf. Patient responses have exceeded any expectations.

Surprising Findings on Two-Year vs. Four-Year Degrees; Return on Investment Holds Steady at About 15% for Recent Graduates

Who earns more, a recent graduate from a flagship state university with a bachelor’s degree or one who finishes a two-year program at a little-known community college?

The answer isn’t so clear.

As states for the first time mine graduates’ salary data from public colleges, they are finding that paychecks for holders of associate degrees in a technical field are outstripping many grads with four-year degrees, at least early in a career.

The growing body of data, from states including Texas, Colorado and Indiana, provides a sober new look at the value of a postsecondary education in a slowly recovering economy.

Overall, the findings reinforce the belief that a college degree is worth the investment. But they highlight the reconsideration of a long-held article of faith that a four-year college degree guarantees at least a middle-class life, while an associate degree is its poor country cousin.

In Indiana, figures show that after a year in the workforce there, a graduate of Ivy Tech Community College makes more on average than a graduate of Indiana University.

In Colorado, Tessa DeVore earned a two-year nursing degree from Front Range Community College in 2010. The degree cost her $23,000, but her starting salary was $53,000.

“At my hospital, the salary doesn’t increase any faster if you have a four-year degree,” she said. “For me, this was absolutely the way to go.”

Radio Frequency Assault On Planet Earth’s Life Support Systems

The clouds reveal an otherwise silent, lethal and constant assault on our biosphere. The extra low frequency (ELF) radio waves that are continuously bombarding the entire planet can be seen and easily recognized in cloud formations. The threat posed to the entire web of life from these frequencies cannot be overstated. My thanks to those who put together the 6 minute video below. The footage is exceptional, compelling and shocking. The total hindrance of Earth’s life support systems can and is pushing us all over the edge. Its time to make our collective voices heard, climate engineering must be exposed and halted or we will soon enough have nothing left to salvage of our once thriving planet.

America’s Housing ‘Recovery’: Transforming Foreclosed Homes Into Rental Empires; Private Equity Firms Drowning In Profits

(The entire mortgage banking collapse was an engineered event to get homeowners in massive debt, then crash the real estate market and then buy up mass properties to be the new landlords of the former middle class.

the TARP bailouts were paid to the banks in exchange for the U.S. Treasury taking back the toxic loans, just like the mafia launders money.  The banks then used this money to buy up swaths of homes, as well as private hedge funds as well as buy stocks to prop up a false rally in the stock markets.

There are still millions of homes that the banks can, but haven’t yet foreclose on, because the banks do not want to pay the property taxes, for now.

When they are finished with this game of getting everyone out of their homes and then rent the properties back to those in debt servitude, rates will be allowed to rise so the banks and hedge funds will pay off any remaining debt with inflated dollars.)

If The Clintons Are Worth 50 Million, Why Do They Get Nearly A Million A Year From The Taxpayers?

Since leaving the White House, the Clintons have earned at least 100 million dollars and currently have a net worth of up to 50 million dollars.  So why in the world do the taxpayers need to give Bill Clinton $944,000 to fund his extravagant lifestyle in 2014?  If ordinary Americans truly understood how much money many former politicians are being handed every year they would go bananas.  According to a Congressional Research Service report that was published earlier this year, the federal government has given a total of nearly 16 million dollarsto Bill Clinton since 2001.  Each one of those dollars is a dollar that some U.S. taxpayer worked really hard for or that we had to borrow.  Yes, we don’t want our former presidents to go broke for a whole bunch of reasons, but it is absolutely absurd that we are showering them with millions upon millions of dollars.

Yesterday, I wrote about the trouble that Hillary has caused for herself by claiming that the Clintons were “dead broke” when they left the White House.

The way things have been set up, there is no way in the world that any former president is going to be “dead broke” ever again unless the law is changed.
