I have always said that if you want the truth about American history, you will have to look at something other than American history books. The victors will always record themselves as Saints and Saviors. In truth, its mere propaganda, in an attempt to mask their true ambitions. That said, such is true of every nation, the American iterations of both freedom and slavery, simply being a bit more pronounced in our particular generation.
