She was driving in a park with two male friends when a pair of plainclothes New York City police detectives drove up in an unmarked van. The officers, from the Brooklyn South precinct … arrested her, put her in the back of the van in handcuffs and ordered her friends not to follow. According to prosecutors, the detectives proceeded to force the 18-year-old woman to perform oral sex on one of them, who then raped her.
The 50-count indictment also alleges that the officers, who are facing charges of rape, kidnapping and official misconduct, threatened her with criminal charges if she didn’t cooperate. This young woman’s experience … is representative of national patterns of sexual violence by officers during traffic stops and handling of minor offenses, drug arrests and police interactions with teenagers. Research on “police sexual misconduct” … overwhelmingly concludes that it is a systemic problem.
A 2015 investigation … concluded that an officer is accused of an act of sexual misconduct at least every five days. The vast majority of incidents … involve motorists, young people in job-shadowing programs, students, victims of violence and informants. In more than 60 percent of the cases reviewed, an officer was convicted of a crime or faced other consequences. [Another] study, funded by the National Institute of Justice … found that half of arrests for sexual misconduct were for incidents involving minors. Sexual misconduct is the second-most-frequently reported form of police misconduct, after excessive force.

Absolutely TRUE! The Blue Line covers up criminal behavior from small time cops to the upper level law enforcement agencies! I experienced it directly, intimately when a ‘psychopath” police investigator using his training and his CLETS system information…in short created a nightmare in my life!
Im a forty year resident of Humboldt county. When my late wife was threatened by one of her high school students ,a police investigator came to investigate…and to continue to investigate, and continue to investigate..at some level being her protector..spending long periods in her class. Then he started to convince her, based on his training and experience, that I was a likely woman abuser.
I could write a book on this experience but in summary; contacted The Justice Dept, The Fbi, former agency employers…he has the badge and support..it went no where. Being completely exasperated but totally aware of this, Blue Line Allegiance , I started calling lawyers that would take credit card, as we had very little savings. I found out quickly that the credit card was no problem..the problem was I was trying to get a restraining order against a cop.
At this point, after starting to learn of his other female victims which included female police officers, well!!!…Im an Aries!! This basturd had to go down.! So charged the services of a PI, who was the former Police Chief of Arcata, Ca. After delivering his report to the newly elected Humboldt County Sherriff {the former lame duck refused to deal with this criminal..wearing a badge}. Yes, so the new sheriff Gary Philp (a Great Man} , i learned, announced that he was going to fingerprint all deputies and tribal cops who are deputized in humboldt county. Within a week this rogue cop just vanished. I regret that because I wonder, sometimes, who he is abusing or robbing.. while protected by his badge and The Blue Line.
Ive never shared this nightmare before but was compelled here.
Of course, in any injustice, one cant wait for someone else to deal with it….You Have To Do It!
