AGAPE LOVE

The Greek language uses three words for love. It talks about eros. Eros is a sort of aesthetic love. It has come to us to be a sort of romantic love and it stands with all of its beauty. But when we speak of loving those who oppose us we’re not talking about eros. The Greek language talks about philia and this is a sort of reciprocal love between personal friends.

This is a vital, valuable love. But when we talk of loving those who oppose you and those who seek to defeat you we are not talking about eros or philia. The Greek language comes out with another word and it is agape. Agape is understanding, creative, redemptive good will for all men. Biblical theologians would say it is the love of God working in the minds of men.

It is an overflowing love which seeks nothing in return. And when you come to love on this level you begin to love men not because they are likeable, not because they do things that attract us, but because God loves them and here we love the person who does the evil deed while hating the deed that the person does. It is the type of love that stands at the center of the movement that we are trying to carry on in the Southland—agape.  MLK

Diamond heart — Stock Photo #4726830

A Diamond is associated with pure love. It is the hardest most pure light refracting mineral on Earth.  It is created from coal like carbon, flammable and black. To achieve its diamondhood it must be hardened under intense heat and tension in the bowels of the Earth over long, vast periods of time.

We are all carbon beings with diamond-like potentiality yet to reach our highest potential all must first endure the intense heat and pressure.  Never forgetting whence we came yet consciously knowing that which our highest selves are capable of achieving in this lifetime.

“There is such a love, a love that creates value in what is loved. There is a love that turns rag dolls into priceless treasures. There is a love that fastens itself onto ragged little creatures, for reasons that no one could ever quite figure out, and makes them precious and valued beyond calculation. This is love beyond reason. This is the love of God.”
John Ortberg, Love Beyond Reason

Love Without Expectation

Once we let go of our expectations, we stop trying to force people into boxes, smash them into take-out containers that cannot contain even their fractional vastness, as representative of the Whole, we start to experience the world as it more truly exists.

It also means we don’t have to be frustrated or angry anymore. We can just allow. This doesn’t mean that we become spineless, but it does mean that we don’t consent to the actions of others – which are really just our own projections anyhow – disturbing the equanimity of our minds.

We can notice when we start to wish things were different – when we start to fantasize about some outcome. Instead, we can do good things, be kind to people, and have no expectation for any particular outcome. The Dalai Lama once said, “I am open to the guidance of synchronicity, and do not let expectations hinder my path.”

Lovers Transcending the Duality Void

Going about our daily lives, we try to correct that imbalance by interacting with our so-called counterpole. Men will go courting women, and women will go courting men, faintly knowing that who they are courting is themselves… deep within the hidden realms of their soul. So basically, when we look into the mirror reflection of the other, we see our own image on one level, and recognition on another. That seems to be the key to finding ourselves through love.

We can talk about sex, but sex is very uninteresting. Sensuality is everything. And sensuality can only exist when equals meet and surrender. Trust is the key… trust and non-competition. Equals don’t compete… they accept. The rhythm is: conquering, surrendering, conquering, surrendering.

Love and Our Higher Potentiality

NR: What does love mean to you?

Love means to accept the gifts of the universe as they are given, and not look into the mouth of a gift horse. In our modern rational scientific way of thinking we analyse; we should accept the gifts of the universe as they come, and see it as a blessing. Love is when you suspend your judgement. Even when you are in love with somebody, you suspend your judgement. You don’t say I love you because you are young, because you are wealthy and educated, because you have high status—you love unconditionally. The moment your mind interferes, and decides judgmentally and dualistically between good and bad or unacceptable and acceptable, love is lost.

NR: You have some interesting ideas about education. How can we try to inculcate the spirit of self-sacrifice and unconditional love in children?

Children are not empty vessels in which you pour information and knowledge. The word educare means to bring out, rather than put in. So all the knowledge, all the wisdom and all the insights which are required are already in every child, because every child is divine. The presence of the divine is there. It is like the acorn—an oak tree is already in that acorn. The work of a gardener is to find fertile soil where that acorn can be planted. The work of a forestor or gardener is to build a little fence to protect that little seedling so that cows or pigs don’t destroy it, and perhaps to give it a bit of water in dry weather. But otherwise the acorn has the capacity to become an oak tree.

In the same way every child is a potential Buddha or enlightened being—and the work of a guru, a master, a teacher or parent is to provide that fertile soil, to provide support and protection, so that the child can become who it is. The work of education is to help the child become self-realised—not to become a doctor, a lawyer or an accountant, someone that they are not, just to earn money. Education is a spiritual activity.

The Love Frequency 528 Hz

Waking Times

According to Dr. Leonard Horowitz, 528 Hertz is a frequency that is central to the “musical mathematical matrix of creation.” More than any sound previously discovered, the “LOVE frequency” resonates at the heart of everything. It connects your heart, your spiritual essence, to the spiraling reality of heaven and earth.

The Love frequency is the “Miracle” note of the original Solfeggio musical scale. Independently confirmed by researchers, these core creative frequencies were used by ancient priests and healers in advanced civilizations to manifest miracles and produce blessings.

Math scientist Victor Showell describes 528 as fundamental to the ancient Pi, Phi, and the Golden Mean evident throughout natural design. Vic Showell and John Stuart Reid (a pioneer in acoustic research and cymatic measurements) have proven that 528 is essential to the sacred geometry of circles and spirals consistent with DNA structuring and hydrosonic restructuring.

528 resolves to a 6, the icon for physical manifestation. That is, 5+2+8=15; and 1+5=6 (using Pythagorean math). The symbol “6” reflects the “spiraling down from heaven into the wholeness of earth.” In fact, the Love frequency can be fundamental to broadcasting all matter and energy into reality according to the laws of physics.

Exploring Soulmates & Twin Flames: What Are They And How Do We Find Them?

soul-mate_sm

The question of twin flames and soulmates is a common question asked by many, as the idea of one or a few particular souls being intimately involved in our evolutionary journey can be fascinating. So do they exist? Let’s explore this topic further by starting from the basic understanding of life in the Universe.

We live in a universe that is all one. This means that the same energy, the united consciousness, is projecting itself forward as you. It is also projecting itself forward as your boyfriend or girlfriend, your dog, and your fridge.  So to say that one thing or expression in the universe is the most important thing is a misunderstanding, because ultimately it is all one thing. You are everything in existence. So at the highest level of existence, everything is your soulmate.

The individuality that we are experiencing is in essence an illusion created for the purpose of expansion. So when we discuss the idea of twin flames, we have to be talking from a different dimensional perspective than the ultimate universal truth, closer to a physical perspective that recognizes the individuality as a subjective truth.

When most speak about the twin flame or soulmate they are referring to the two halves of the same soul. The theory suggests that in the beginning of time, we were created as a perfect soul, which split into two halves. One of these halves contained the female energy, and the other comprised the male energy. The theory is that the two halves would be incarnated into human forms to live, experience, and expand until the day that the two experientially rich halves would meet again to ascend back to source.  However, this theory is flawed in that it attributes physical characteristics to a formless soul. A soul cannot truly be “split” in two because it is not a physical clump of energy.  In reality a soul is merely a stream of consciousness.

The True History of St. Valentines Day

 — There may be love in the air this Valentine’s Day, but the holiday’s history is far darker than any dozen red roses.

Valentine’s Day is traditionally celebrated on Feb. 14, which is the day Pope Gelasius declared in 498 A.D. to honor the martyr Valentinus and end a pagan celebration. Valentinus was executed for not renouncing his Christian beliefs in the face of persecution by Roman officials.

While jailed, he allegedly restored the sight of his jailer’s blind daughter. The night before his execution, he wrote a farewell note to the girl, which he signed, “From your Valentine.” He was executed on Feb. 14, 269.

In fifth century Rome, people honorσd Juno, the pagan goddess of love and marriage on Feb. 14. During the celebration, men would draw women’s names and aggressively court them for marriage. The tradition of sending heart-shaped valentines is said to have begun in England in the 1840s, later spreading to the United States.

Things Neuroscience Can Teach Us About Love

Life and Death and Love

Death always happens with exhalation and birth with inhalation. But exhalation and inhalation are happening continuously. With each inhalation you are born; with each exhalation you die.

So the first thing to understand is that death is not somewhere in the future, waiting for you, as it has been always pictured. It is part of life; it is an ongoing process-not in the future, here, now.
Life and death are two aspects of existence. simultaneously happening together.

Ordinarily, you have been taught to think of death as being against life. Death is not against life-life is not possible without death. Death is the very ground on which life exists. Death and life are like two wings: the bird cannot fly with one wing, and the being cannot be without death. So the first thing is a clear understanding of what we mean by death.

Death is an absolutely necessary process for life to be. It is not the enemy, it is the friend. And it is not there somewhere in the future, it is here, now. It is not going to happen, it has been always happening. Since you have been here it has been with you. With each exhalation it happens-a little death, a small death-but because of fear we have put it in the future.

Research Mapping Human Emotions Shows Strong Mind Body Connection

Love makes us warm all over, and now scientists are creating body maps to prove it.

A team of scientists in Finland has used a topographical self-reported method to reveal the effects that different emotional states have on bodily sensations. After five experiments and over 700 participants from Finland, Sweden and Taiwan, who reported where on their bodies they felt different emotions, the scientists discovered surprising consistencies. Their research findings were published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences:

Most basic emotions were associated with sensations of elevated activity in the upper chest area, likely corresponding to changes in breathing and heart rate (1). Similarly, sensations in the head area were shared across all emotions, reflecting probably both physiological changes in the facial area (i.e., facial musculature activation, skin temperature, lacrimation) as well as the felt changes in the contents of mind triggered by the emotional events. Sensations in the upper limbs were most prominent in approach-oriented emotions, anger and happiness, whereas sensations of decreased limb activity were a defining feature of sadness. Sensations in the digestive system and around the throat region were mainly found in disgust. In contrast with all of the other emotions, happiness was associated with enhanced sensations all over the body.
